The primer pockets are intentionally left empty, so that your firing pin doesn't strike anything on contact. This helps protect your firearm and gives you the flexibility to modify it if you’d like. Some customers choose to fill the primer pocket themselves using hot glue or silicone caulk to add extra cushion for the firing pin.
